GIVE. GROW. VOLUNTEER.Are you looking for a flexible volunteer opportunity to feed your mind, body, and spirit while serving the community? The County of San Diego can help! Aging & Independence Services, a division of the County’s Health and Human Services Agency, offers two senior volunteer programs that can connect you to meaningful volunteer opportunities at a wide variety of community organizations. The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is an AmeriCorps program that seeks to engage Americans 55 years and older in volunteer service to meet critical community needs. The Senior Volunteers in Action (SVA) program connects those 50 and older to a variety of service activities. Through these senior volunteer programs, you can make an impact in rewarding fields, such as law enforcement, senior services, youth mentorship, museums and the arts, and more. Join a community of volunteers who are working to make a difference locally at any of our 70 partner sites. Enjoy annual recognition events and more! Interested in joining? Click on the green "Sign Up Here" button on the right to go to our volunteer application or contact the senior volunteer programs office today at (858) 505-6399. Please note, due to COVID-19 many volunteer opportunities are on hold, but you are encouraged to apply so you are ready to go once it is safe to resume volunteer activities.
