Below you will find details on some of the most useful and comprehensive clearinghouses of local information, whether you are looking for help in the home, enrichment programs, caregiver support, or any other service or resource for older adults.

 Aging & Independence Services (AIS)

If you are looking for resources for an older adult or a person living with disabilities, the AIS Call Center is the place to start! The AIS Call Center is your gateway to both County and community programs for older adults, information, and referrals, with personnel specifically trained to assess callers' needs. If a County service is not appropriate, callers are referred to private and community programs. You may also learn more about AIS programs and services at www.aging.sandiegocounty.gov.

The Coalition is dedicated to supporting caregivers through education and advocacy. Whatever your needs, the Coalition can help you plan and support you through challenges.

The San Diego Eldercare Directory is published by the San Diego Union-Tribune and contains information on: housing, in-home solutions, equipment and services for special needs, nutrition services, healthcare insurance, healthcare services, mental health services, caregiving information and support, day care and respite care, financial matters, legal matters, transportation services, senior centers and activities, and end-of-life issues.
